This is an activity that reinforces the recognition of high frequency sight words. Display a selection of the flies (on a board, on the floor, hanging, etc). Say a word. A great activity that supports oral language development. Toss a coin and then roll a dice to find a topic to talk about. Talk to a buddy, small group or whole class. Can you talk continuously for 30 seconds without pausing or saying ummm, ahhhh, etc? 6 charts with 12 topics on each card (72 topics altogether) 1 chart with 12 topics that are broader (suitable for less able students). Fun, engaging topics that your students will enjoy. Provided in colour and in black and white. A blank template is also provided so you and your students can make up your own game. Also provided is the list of topics that you can print, cut up and put in a container. Students can then pull a topic out from the container (as an alternative to tossing a coin and rolling a dice).

Story Starters for writing lessons in the classroom. They are all for writing in the first person (ie they all contain 'I') Print these out and laminate them back-to-back.
